Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union government for the hike in LPG cylinder prices. Recently, KTR has questioned other vital decisions of the union government, including Agnipath recruitment Scheme, rupee depreciation, and an increase in petrol and diesel prices.
As the domestic LPG price increased, KTR tweeted, “AchheDin Aa Gaye Badhai Ho #LPG over Rs 1050 An increase again of Rs 50 Modi Ji’s Gift to all Indian Households."
The common person will have to shell out more for an LPG cylinder as oil marketing companies (OMCs) increase the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder by Rs 50. As a result, the domestic LPG cylinder price in Delhi has increased from Rs 1,003 to Rs 1,053 with the latest increase.
The new price of a 14.2 kg gas cylinder in metro cities is as follows.
Hyderabad - Rs 1,105
Delhi - Rs 1,053
Mumbai - Rs 1,052.50
Kolkata - Rs 1,079
Chennai - Rs 1,068.50

Vijayawada - Rs 1,077
Guntur - Rs 1,092
Visakhapatnam - Rs 1,061
Anantapuram - Rs 1,119.50

The latest price hike of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder will pressure the household budget. The increase in domestic and commercial LPG cylinder prices in recent months has attracted criticism from the opposition parties.
