Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development KT Rama Rao, fondly called as KTR, reviewed several developmental works at the HMDA headquarters on Tuesday, including those related to the city's plans to host the Formula E event in 2023.

The officials were asked about the ongoing road maintenance and construction under various municipal departments. The officials gave details to the Minister on the ongoing programs under the Strategic Roads Development Programme (SRDP) and Comprehensive Road Maintenance Programme (CRMP). In light of the outcomes produced by the already-built roads, he instructed the GHMC officials to construct more connecting roads.

Officials informed Minister KTR that they have already undertaken projects like beautification and development of junctions under the auspices of organisations like Janaagraha, inspired by the model road maintenance programs in various cities in the country. KTR directed GHMC officials to speed up the necessary programs for constructing more link roads.
