Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday slammed BJP Munugode bypoll candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy for promising to increase monthly pension to Rs 3,000 if they voted for the saffron party on November 3.
He said that the BJP-run states of Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra only offered pension less than Rs 1,000 and demanded that Rajgopal Reddy explain how he would convince the BJP leadership to offer Rs 3,000 pension in Telangana.
He said the TRS had promised Rs 2,106 pension per month in the 2018 Assembly polls and had implemented it. Rao also said the TRS government was implementing the Rythu Bima life insurance cover for all landholding farmers under the age of 59 years and paying Rs 5 lakh to the kin of a farmer on their death.
He said the KCR-led government was also implementing Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi and KTR Kits scheme for the welfare of the people.

"We have brought 10 per cent reservation for Scheduled Tribes in educational institutions and government jobs. This is the development of CM KCR under the TRS government. If we win the election, we will implement all the promises made within a year. It is my responsibility to fulfil all the promises," Harish Rao further said.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, former TRS MP Boora Narsaiah Goud joined BJP ahead of the Munugode bypoll in Telangana. He joined the saffron party in Delhi in the presence of Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav and Kishan Reddy.
He was upset with TRS leadership after he was denied the party ticket. Goud is a reputed doctor and comes from a OBC community that holds sway in Munugode.
Goud, who quit the TRS on October 15, earlier said he would join BJP at its Central office in Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of Union Ministers.
