Shada Raju, who was stuck under rocks in Kamareddy district of Telangana for more than 42 hours, was safely rescued on Thursday and shifted to a hospital in an ambulance. The rescue operations were carried out by the Kamareddy district police and administration to save the man, which went for more than 30 hours.
Shada Raju (36), from Reddipeta, who went hunting on Tuesday morning along with another friend, Ashok, had fallen into the crevice between two huge boulders at Singarayapalli Puligutta in the Ghanpur forest area. The accident occurred when Raju reportedly dropped his mobile phone, and when he attempted to retrieve it, he slipped and fell into the small opening of the boulders. He had been stuck in the cave since Tuesday evening.
Raju's family members, who were waiting for his rescue, said since he had not returned home on Tuesday and his mobile phone was also switched off, they started looking out for him and found him stuck. Initially, the family members with the help of locals tried to rescue Raju and when their efforts proved fruitless, they approached the police.

A police officer on the rescue site told the media that Raju, who had accidentally slipped and been stuck between the rocks since Tuesday, did not even suffer a fracture. Seven controlled explosives were made by rescuers to make a space between the stones.
Teams from the forest, police, fire services,health departments ,and revenue worked overtime to safely pull out the man stuck between two huge boulders in the Yellareddy forest area.
A rescue worker said the operation continued throughout the night. Raju was partially visible from the outside and could be heard pleading for help. Authorities supervising the rescue work advised the man to be patient. The rescue workers sent water and ORS to Raju through a small gap.
