Hyderabad: A sensational case of a brutal murder has been reported from the Medak district of Telangana. A former local BJP leader has been killed in the Medak district of Telangana. The BJP leader was burnt alive by some unidentified men in a Honda City car trunk. The BJP leader who lost his life in this barbaric incident has been identified as Srinivas Prasad. He was 45 years old. Police are currently investigating the case after his murder.


Talking about this incident, Medak SP Deepti said, "The BJP leader was set on fire by people sitting in his car. We found his charred body from his burnt Honda City car. We have registered a case and the investigation is on."

Former BJP local leader Srinivas had left home on Monday afternoon, after informing his family about his plans of leaving for Tirupati with his friends. His mobile was switched off on Monday night and he could not be traced. However, his wife Himavati could not identify the body of her husband Srinivas as the body was almost burnt to ashes.


Srinivas was said to be associated with the RSS and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad had been attacked several times in the past in which he survived. He was also accused of a murder case and was released from jail a few years ago. Srinivas is also the owner of Cinemax theatre in Medak.


Locals noticed flames from the car on the outskirts of Mangalparthy on Tuesday morning after which people reported it to the police. A police team that reached the spot sent the body to the lab for DNA testing. According to the reports, Srinivas had been at loggerheads with his business partners for some time now. Currently, Police is investigating the case.
