Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced that his government has been allocating Rs 12,000 crore annually to provide free electricity to farmers in the state. Speaking at a public meeting held in Nirmal district headquarters on Sunday, the Chief Minister expressed his commitment to ensuring the well-being of farmers and bringing smiles to their faces through this initiative.
Highlighting the government's focus on promoting employment opportunities, Chief Minister KCR pledged to establish food processing units in every mandal of the state following the elections. This endeavour aims to generate significant employment prospects for the youth by establishing large-scale food processing facilities.
With a vision of making Telangana the most advanced state in the country, CM KCR expressed confidence in the state's ability to embark on various new programs and planning initiatives.
During his address, the Chief Minister also drew attention to the challenges faced under the previous administration, particularly the issues of extortion by Village Revenue Officers (VROs), manipulation of land records, and fraudulent changes to property ownership. He emphasized the efficiency and transparency of the Dharani portal, which enables land registrations to be completed in just fifteen minutes and title deeds to be obtained in ten minutes.
CM KCR urged the people to continue supporting the government's initiatives to ensure the continuity of developmental work and welfare programs for all sections of society. He cautioned that if "evil forces" were to come to power in Telangana, they would likely abolish schemes such as Rythu Bandhu (a farmer support scheme) and the Dalit Bandhu program (a welfare program for Dalits).
The Chief Minister also highlighted the progress made in the state, citing the creation of four districts from the previously remote Adilabad district as an example. He mentioned the establishment of three new medical colleges in Mancherial, Asifabad, and Nirmal, in addition to the existing medical college in the old Adilabad district.
In terms of financial support, CM KCR announced an allocation of Rs 10 lakh for each of the 396 Gram Panchayats in the district. Furthermore, he sanctioned Rs 25 crore for the municipalities of Nirmal, Muthole, and Khanapur, and Rs 20 lakh each for 19 mandal headquarters.
