Reacting to the government's decision to not send her an invitation for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday said that she had the support of the people. As per the Raj Bhavan, Soundararajan did not receive any invitation from the state government for the celebrations and she marked the day at her official residence.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan participated in Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan and honoured the leaders of the 1969 Telangana movement.

During her speech at Raj Bhavan, the Telangana Governor highlighted the peaceful nature of the Telangana movement. She expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to honour some participants of the 1969 movement and extended her salutations to all those involved in the state movement. Additionally, she mentioned the implementation of various welfare programs since the formation of the state.
She emphasized that the development of Telangana is not limited to Hyderabad alone but extends to the progress of remote areas as well. She stated that "Jai Telangana" is not just a slogan, but also a symbol of self-respect. Soundararajan expressed her dedication to serving the people, stating that every minute of her life is devoted to them. She expressed gratitude for being allowed to serve in Telangana.
