After conducting searches at the residences of 27 PFI workers in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Sunday (September 18), National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested four cadres of Islamic organisation and sent to 14-day judicial custody for being involved in anti-national activities.
The four PFI workers were identified as Mohammed Syed Yahiya from Nizamabad district, Mohammed Irfan from Jagitial district, Sheik Feroz Khan from Adilabad and Mohammad Osman from Medchal district.
In its remand copy, NIA said, "On the pretext of providing karate training, the PFI members lured more than 300 youth from rural areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by identifying them through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and others. After having a chat with the youth, the PFI members organised camps in Nizamabad and imparted (training in) terror acts to create law and order issues and to wage a war against the Indian government."

Earlier on Sunday, during the raids in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, 23 NIA teams were searching the houses and other suspected places in Nizamabad, 23 teams were deployed in Kurnool and Kadapa districts and two teams searched properties of the suspects in the Guntur district.
Meanwhile, in the largest anti-terror operation on Thursday, NIA and Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided PFI offices and residences of leaders in as many as 10 states and have taken over 100 PFI cadres into custody for being involved in terrorist activities.
"NIA conducting searches in multiple locations in the largest ever probe process till date. These searches are being conducted in residential& official premises of persons involved in funding terrorism, organising training camps and radicalising people to join proscribed organisations," said news agency ANI in a tweet.
