Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Telangana and former Rajya Sabha MP Anand Bhaskar Rapolu resigns from the party's primary membership on Wednesday.

In his resignation letter, he mentioned that he was ignored, humiliated, underrated and excluded from the national role for the last four years.

On Sunday, Anand Bhaskar met TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan, indicating that he is likely to join the ruling party.

Anand Bhaskar stated that the CM took numerous measures to develop the handloom sector and the welfare of the weavers in the State. He hoped CM KCR would play a significant role in national politics through the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Earlier, senior Telangana politician Dasoju Sravan resigned from the BJP after joining the saffron party recently. Dasoju Sravan submitted his resignation letter to Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

In his resignation letter to Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Dasoju Sravan conveyed his decision to resign from the party's primary membership. He mentioned that the way BJP was approaching the Munugode bypoll was incorrect. He said he joined the BJP with high hopes of serving the people.

Sravan claimed that while the BJP had pledged to practise "alternative politics", their strategy in the Munugode bye-election was abhorrent. He said that the BJP was engaging in investment politics, supporting large contractors, and dispersing "money bags" out of a lack of social responsibility. "In such a situation it has become evident that there is no room for a leader like me coming from a weaker section of the society," he said.
