Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan on Monday appointed in-charges for 26 Assembly constituencies in Telangana and instructed party leaders from the state to prepare for the upcoming Assembly elections. During a meeting with JSP leaders, Pawan Kalyan emphasised that the JSP is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the Telangana movement. He mentioned that 1,300 martyrs had sacrificed their lives for Telangana, and although the separate state was achieved, their expectations remained unfulfilled.

The elections for the 119-member Telangana Assembly are scheduled to be held in November and December this year.

Highlighting that no other party has given opportunities to as many newcomers, he encouraged the constituency in-charges to make the most of this chance. Pawan Kalyan also informed JSP leaders that he would soon undertake a campaign in Telangana using his special campaign vehicle called 'Varahi.' He is set to embark on the Varahi Yatra on June 14 in Andhra Pradesh, with the aim of ending the rule of the YSR Congress Party.

Kalyan addressed the party workers at the Jana Sena Party central office in Mangalagiri on Monday. He participated in religious rituals at the JSP head office in Mangalagiri.

During the event, Pawan Kalyan said, “Jana Sena Party will become a strong force. If you stick to a strong ideology while preserving existence, better days will come by themselves. If the youth of Telangana do not get water, funds and jobs, it will be useless to achieve a separate state.”

He added, “Jana Sena Party was started with the youth wing and today it has reached this level. There are youths in every village who are attracted to Jana Sena’s ideology. We can achieve anything if we move forward with that feeling. No political party gives a chance to such newcomers, they should not take it lightly and take advantage of the opportunity.”

In May of last year, Pawan Kalyan announced that the JSP would contest the polls in Telangana. He stated that the party might field candidates in 20 percent of the constituencies in the state, but the final decision on the number of seats and alliances with other parties would be made after internal discussions.

Meanwhile, well-known film producer B.V.S.N. Prasad joined the JSP on Monday in the presence of Pawan Kalyan, who welcomed him into the party fold. Prasad, the producer of Pawan Kalyan starrer "Attarintiki Daredi," has produced films under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra.
