Following a scathing attack by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday said while the BJP may not support him, he enjoys the support of the people.
During a public meeting in Krosuru, Palnadu district, Jagan Mohan Reddy stated, "The BJP may not be with me. You are my courage and confidence."
He stressed that he does not place his trust in such parties but rather in God and the blessings of the people.
Reddy's remarks come a day after Amit Shah, addressing a public meeting in Visakhapatnam, alleged that the YSRCP government was involved in corruption and failed to achieve anything significant during its four years in power. Earlier, Nadda told a public meeting in Srikalahasti that he had never seen such a corrupt government.

The Andhra CM also told the people not to be misled by the "malicious campaign" of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He called upon them to support the YSRCP and become his soldiers to secure victory in the upcoming election if they believed they had benefited from his government's welfare schemes.
Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the upcoming election was a battle between his government, which is implementing Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) welfare schemes, and the TDP, which he claimed followed a policy of plunder, hoarding, and exploitation. He described it as a conflict between a government that prioritises the welfare of the people and a pro-capitalist party.
He claimed that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu didn't implement welfare schemes during his rule because he doesn't have a generous heart. The Chief Minister said Chandrababu Naidu was synonymous with backstabbing, conspiracy, cheating, and lies.
He further added that despite ruling the state for 14 years, Naidu doesn't have any significant achievements to his credit, and hence the people would not believe him.
