In the poll-bound Telangana, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are set to launch high-octane electioneering for Telangana Assembly Elections 2023 with Vijayabheri bus yatra on Wednesday. The two AICC leaders are scheduled to arrive at Begumpet airport by a special flight at 3:30 PM. From there, they will travel to the Ramappa temple via helicopter.
After offering their prayers at the shrine, they will launch the bus yatra, followed by addressing a rally. Additionally, they will have an interactive session with women, as reported by PTI, quoting sources. The leaders will begin the yatra from the historic Ramappa temple in Mulugu and conclude in Ramanujapuram between 5 PM and 6 PM. Before the launch of Vijayabheri bus yatra, the Congress leaders will present the six guarantees of the Congress before Lord Shiva at a temple.
While Priyanka Gandhi will leave for Delhi after the yatra, Rahul Gandhi is set to extend his visit by three days. He is scheduled to attend a series of public addresses and meet farmers, labourers and party workers in the state.
Rahul Gandhi will cover eight constituencies in the 3-day yatra from October 18. During the yatra, Rahul Gandhi will meet workers from the state-run mining firm Singareni Collieries and attend public meetings in Peddapalli and Karimnagar, where he will spend the night on October 19.
On October 20, he will attend a meeting with farmers in Jagtial and participate in programs in Armoor and Nizamabad.
The visit of both the leaders is expected to boost Congress in Telangana. According to the Election Commission of India, Telangana Assembly polls have been scheduled for November 30. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.
