Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday announced in the assembly that the state government will release direct recruitments to fill up 80,039 vacant posts in Telangana. The ruling TRS has also decided to regularise 11,103 contractual jobs.


The chief minister clarified that there would be no more contract jobs in Telangana.

CM KCR said that Telangana had faced many difficulties due to endless discrimination, unemployment and deaths of farmers. He said the same situation continued till the formation of a separate state of Telangana in 2014.


He noted that the state government had advertised 1,56,254 positions for recruitment since the state's formation, with 1,33,942 of them being filled. The remaining 22,312 positions are currently under recruitment process.


KCR said that employees in Telangana are now getting the highest salary. Telangana's government is debt-free. We are working in an anti-corruption environment, he added.
