Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar has announced that the creation of a large number of jobs will be a significant campaign promise for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections scheduled for December this year. Speaking at the party's state executive committee meeting in Hyderabad on Monday, Kumar urged party leaders and members to engage in an extensive door-to-door campaign, emphasizing the BJP's commitment to job opportunities. He stated that if the BJP comes into power, it will fill two lakh government job vacancies and introduce an annual job calendar.

The BJP has also unveiled plans to launch a "Maha Jana Sampark Abhiyaan" (mass contact program) from May 30 to June 30, aimed at informing the public about various welfare schemes and the initiatives undertaken by the Narendra Modi-led Union government for the progress of the nation, while ensuring benefits for Telangana.

Kumar criticized the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, alleging that Telangana has failed to achieve the desired progress under its rule.

He also emphasized the country's economic progress despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis and the central government's efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure, particularly the road network.

Kumar pointed out that the Modi government has allocated over Rs 16,000 crore for rural infrastructure development in Telangana, along with Rs 35,000 crore for various railway projects and Rs 1.50 lakh crore for national highways in the state.
