Actor Rajinikanth visited the residence of veteran actor Sarath Babu who died due to ailments to pay his last respect in Chennai on Tuesday. The 71-year-old actor died due to sepsis and multiple organ failure at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Monday.
According to ANI, “Actor Rajinikanth visited the residence of veteran actor Sarath Babu in Chennai to pay his last respects. Sarath Babu passed away yesterday.”

During the visit, Rajinikanth was also greeted by actors Radhika Sarathkumar and Sarathkumar.
After paying the respect, Rajinikanth said, “He (Sarath Babu) was a good man. I never saw him angry. All of his films were a very big hit. He was very affectionate towards me. I feel sad on his demise.”
Rajinikanth and Sarath Babu have acted together in films including Baba, Muthu, Nagavalli, Maaveeran, Mullum Malarum, Annamalai, Netri Kann and Velaikkaran. On Monday, Rajinikanth taking to social media said, “Today I lost my close friend and wonderful man Sarathbabu. It is an irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.”
Sarath Babu was admitted in critical condition to a hospital in Hyderabad last month. His health condition, however, failed to improve and he died on Monday.
Sarath Babu was born on July 31, 1951 in Amudala village of Srikakulam district. He made his debut in 'Rama Rajyam' in Telugu. Later, he made his debut in Tamil with K Balachander's 'Pattina Pravesam' in 1977. In a career spanning over five decades, Sarath Babu acted in over 200 films. He also worked in Malayalam and Hindi films.
His last movies are Vasantha Mullai in Tamil and Malli Pelli in Telugu.
