Meanwhile, Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy chose not to attend the meeting, citing humiliation and avoided the Munugode campaign. Recently, Venkat Reddy wrote a letter to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to appeal to replace AICC Telangana in-charge Manickam Tagore.
The MP allegedly complained that party members who supported TPCC president A Revanth Reddy mistreated him. He claimed that the Congress party was becoming less distinct in the State due to Manickam Tagore's leadership as AICC Telangana in charge.
MP Komatireddy said there was no coordination and information about party programmes for senior leaders. Decisions were taken unilaterally, affecting their self-respect and party prospects, said MP, who did not participate in the AICC meeting on Monday.
