Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay foundation stones to various projects worth Rs 21,566 crore during his tour to Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad in Telangana on October 1 and 3. In a press conference, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said on Friday that PM Modi would launch projects worth Rs 13,545 crore during his Mahabubnagar trip while he would launch projects of Rs 8,021 crore in Nizamabad.
According to PTI, Reddy said, PM Modi will address public meetings in both places after the project launch.
On October 1, PM Modi is set to reach Mahabubnagar at 2.15 PM where he will inaugurate projects in sectors including road, rail and natural gas. He is also scheduled to flag off a train service through video conferencing.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for key road projects that are part of Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor, as reported by ANI.
Telangana BJP president Reddy said that the Centre spent Rs 9 lakh crore for various infrastructure projects for them in the past nine years after Modi became PM.
He alleged that some of the projects could not take off in the state due to the delay of ruling BRS government in Telangana to hand over the required land.
The BJP leader said, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao's government taking up Women's Reservation Bill was ridiculous since they did not have any women Minister in their previous cabinet.
Further, Reddy clarified the allegations of BRS leaders that the Centre would fix meters on agriculture pump sets. He said, even the Union Power Minister dismissed the allegation that there was no such movie.
On Friday, Telangana Chief Secretary Santi Kumari held a review meeting with senior officials on PM Modi’s visit to Nizamabad on October 3.
PM Modi will also be virtually inaugurating an 800 megawatt power project built by NTPC, a release said, as per PTI.
