Osmania University PG College's women students in Secunderabad staged a protest against the alleged breach of security at the women's hotel on Friday night. The students gathered at the campus and started raising slogans "We want justice" among others. Based on the information, the police reached the spot and are conducting an investigation.

On Friday night, two men were accused of suspiciously entering the Secunderabad Osmania PG Ladies Hostel, as reported by the women residing on the campus. According to their accounts, the suspects purportedly broke a toilet window and attempted to assault the students. Swiftly responding to the threat, the women inside the restroom caught hold of one of the intruders and handed him over to the police.


In response to the incident, the students, both men and women, started a protest highlighting their concerns about the alleged lack of security at the Girls' hostel. Through a sit-in demonstration, they called for enhanced security measures and the installation of CCTV surveillance to monitor the campus.


Following this, the Principal has reassured the women of action and a prompt resolution to address the issues.


Rohini Priyadarshini, DCP North Zone, Hyderabad told ANI, "There was a case of an unidentified person scaling the campus wall and entering the girls' hostel at OU Sub-Campus PG Girls Hostel."


"We reached the spot and the accused was already apprehended by the students and the security people and we caught him and put him in a patrol vehicle," she said.
