BRS MLC Kaushik Reddy has allegedly used abusive language against the governor during the Republic Day celebrations this year. Kaushik Reddy criticised the Telangana Governor for allegedly refusing to sign a few bills that the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) is demanding to be passed.

On January 28, BJP Saroornagar corporator Akula Srivani lodged a police complaint against the MLC Kaushik Reddy , accusing him of using abusive and unparliamentary language against Governor Tamilisai. Srivani said that it was unfortunate on the part of Kaushik Reddy to make objectionable comments against a woman who was the governor of the state.

She demanded that Kaushik Reddy be punished for his allegedly indecent remarks, saying that "leaders" should not act in a way that jeopardises women's safety, security, and dignity.
