In a run-up to Telangana Assembly Elections 2023, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said people thought that there would be 'janta' (public) rule but there had only been one family rule in the state. As part of 'Vijay Bheri Yatra', he said that there is a battle between 'doralu' (aristocrats) Telangana and 'prajalu' (common people) Telangana.
At a public gathering in poll-bound Telangana, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, "It looks like KCR will lose the (Telangana Assembly) elections. I think it is a battle between 'doralu' (aristocrats) Telangana and 'prajalu' (common people) Telangana."
"You (people) thought that there will be a rule of 'janta' (public) in Telangana. However, only one family is ruling Telangana, and it has full control of the state," he said.
Rahul Gandhi attacked Chandrasekhar Rao, claiming that the Telangana chief minister is still aloof from the people even after ten years.
Rahul claimed, alluding to KCR, that there is widespread corruption occurring in Telangana and that one family alone holds all of the state's power.
The AICC representative went on to say that KCR is spared while the BJP targets all opposition figures and files cases with the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Departments.

During an election rally in Mulugu on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the BJP and the ruling BRS, claiming that they both had a "tacit understanding." In addition, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the pink and the saffron parties, and the Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM are conspiring to undermine the Congress and that the BJP wants the BRS to win the Telangana elections.
