KCR Floated New National Party To Make His Son Chief Minister: Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay

“The people of Telangana voted for TRS. The party's name was changed without taking the people's opinion as people voted for TRS. KCR government has no right to rule,” said the BJP leader.

Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay on Tursday slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for launching Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He alleged that KCR's intention behind launching the party was to make his son K T Rama Rao the chief minister of the state.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was the earlier name of Chandrashekar Rao's party.

The Telangana BJP chief said, "Whoever enters national politics is welcomed. However, KCR ought to explain what Bharat Rashtra Samiti is about and how many TRS party members are still active in the same party".

“The people of Telangana voted for TRS. The party's name was changed without taking the people's opinion as people voted for TRS. KCR government has no right to rule,” the BJP leader added.

He further urged CM KCR to contest the election in the name of BRS and dissolve the government. Sanjay said that no one was happy at TRS general body meeting held on Wednesday.

At the State General Body meeting held at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad - party headquarter - KCR changed the name and officially launched a new party. Several ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and district-level coordinators were present at the event.

Telangana CM KCR at TRS general body meeting on Wednesday emphasised that several other political parties, including the JD(S), Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal, had already pledged their full support to TRS's efforts to form a non-BJP government at the national level. HD Kumaraswamy, the former chief minister of Karnataka and JD(S) leader, attended the TRS general body meeting.

However, there has been significant conjecture about whether the state's first family has broken apart due to the absence of KCR's daughter and senior party leader K Kavitha from the grand inauguration event to advance TRS on the national arena as BRS.
