Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has commented on cloudburst on Tuesday. Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said the floods in the state's Godavari region resulted from a cloudburst, a conspiracy planned by other countries.

KCR, who visited the flood-affected areas in Bhadrachalam, expressed suspicion that the Godavari floods was a cloudburst and that there were foreign conspiracies behind it. KCR's comments drew flak from the Opposition. The Opposition leaders condemned KCR's remarks by calling them ridiculous and immature.

It is not due to cloudburst, it is due to the overflowing of the Godavari river because of heavy rains in some of the adjacent states and inflows from upstream, said Tamilisai Soundararajan. She clarified that it could not be called a cloudburst.

Earlier, TRS leaders called the 'Praja Darbar' a political darbar. 'Praja Darbar' is an event based on women’s issues conducted by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan in Raj Bhavan. They accused the governor of doing politics in Raj Bhavan.
