Hyderabad: With the impact of the southwest monsoon, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Yanam will receive rains for next three days, said India Meteorological Department (IMD). Heavy to moderate rains lashed several districts in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday. 


In southern coastal Odisha, the surface periodicity weakened to 3.1 km above average sea level in the surrounding area. Over the next two days, IMD officials said that the southwest monsoon would move towards some parts of the northern Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and central and northwestern parts of the Bay of Bengal.


Heavy rains are expected in the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Eluru, East Godavari, West Godavari districts, and Vijayawada district will receive heavy rain on Thursday. The winds are blowing at 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.

According to the IMD forecast, Light to moderate Thunderstorms with rain accompained by lighting and gusty winds with speeds more than 30kmph is very likely to occur in some parts of Medak, Sangareddy, Medchal, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Hanamakonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad districts of Telangana state on Thursday.
