Hyderabad: India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to receive rains for a few more days. According to IMD, another low pressure is likely to form in the North West Bay of Bengal on August 13. The low pressure is expected to move north-northwest and strengthen in the next 24 hours.


Due to this effect, heavy rains will likely occur in Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts of Telangana on the 14th. According to the IMD, gusty winds with a speed of 40-50 km per hour are likely to blow.


The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in Hyderabad. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 degrees and 23 degrees, respectively. Surface winds are likely westerlies with speeds around 14-20 kph.


 






The Amaravati Meteorological Department has warned that there will be heavy rains in north coastal Andhra Pradesh for the next two to three days. IMD warned people living in the coastal region to be alert, and fishermen were advised not to venture into the sea along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.


According to the Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati), winds are likely to blow at a speed of 45-55 km along the coastline.






IMD predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at one or two places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur in one or two areas. Rayalaseema is expected to experience light to moderate rains with thundershowers in many places.
