A massive fire broke out at a warehouse in the Chikkadpally area of Hyderabad city on Thursday. Fire tenders have been deployed, and efforts to douse the flames are underway.


According to the ABP Desam report, the incident took place at a tent wholesale supply warehouse in Chikkadpally during the early hours of Thursday morning. Locals panicked after the fire mishap.


The police are also yet to ascertain the reason why the fire happened. It is estimated that there has been a huge loss of property in this fire accident. No casualties have been reported yet.


Police said, "The incident took place today in the morning hours. Firefighters arrived on the scene. Efforts to doze off the fire are underway. The reason for the fire is not known yet. No casualties are reported as of now."


Minister T Srinivas Yadav, who visited the incident site, stated that traders and warehouse managers who fail to take proper precautions will face harsh punishment. The authorities responded in time and brought the fire under control, he added.

Earlier, a massive fire broke out at the Deccan Knitwear Sports Shop building in Secunderabad's Nallagutta. Three people were killed in a fire accident. Firefighters took 10 hours to douse the flames at the building.


About 10 people who were trapped in the building were initially rescued by fire department personnel and the local police. The fire officials also doused the flames, but the fire restarted again, and about 30 firefighters were rushed to the spot to continue to help contain the blaze. Heavy smoke engulfed the entire area and hindered the firefighting operations.


Following this, Hyderabad police booked a case against the owner of the Deccan Mall building. In an FIR, the police mentioned that the building had no setback and was operating the mall in violation of GHMC rules.
