Hyderabad Crime: A 23-year-old individual, a suspect in a murder case, was reportedly murdered in the early hours of Monday, in Telangana's Hyderabad in what authorities suspect to be a revenge murder, as per police. In a video circulating on social media, two individuals purportedly involved in the attack were seen holding knives, seemingly celebrating the alleged murder, news agency PTI reported.
According to police reports, the victim was assaulted by at least four individuals from a rival faction, who attacked him with knives near his rented accommodation at Pragathinagar. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds, ultimately leading to his demise.
Victim's Body Displayed Approximately 10-11 Stab Wounds: Police
A senior police official noted that the victim's body displayed approximately 10-11 stab wounds, based on initial investigations. Four teams were formulated to nab the assailants, who fled the scene after the assault, police said, PTI reported.
The deceased individual was identified as the third accused in a murder case involving a notorious criminal, which occurred in 2023 under the jurisdiction of the S R Nagar police station. Authorities mentioned that he had been released from custody two months prior, after being detained in connection with the aforementioned case, and had been residing in a rented accommodation in Pragathinagar, within the limits of the Bachupally police station.
In a similar instance, police in Maharashtra's Palghar district detained two individuals for allegedly possessing sharp weapons, uncovering their involvement in a homicide case from 2021, an official disclosed on Monday.
The police apprehended Pokhan Paran Saw (50), an autorickshaw driver, and Abdul Mubarakali Shah, also known as Badda (23), in Nalla Sopara on April 3, seizing sharp weapons from their possession, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-III, Jayant Bajbale.
Investigations disclosed that the duo were involved in murdering a man three years ago, Bajbale stated, PTI quoted saying.
Reportedly, Saw was engaged in an extramarital relationship and, with the assistance of his accomplices Mubarakali and Imran Ibrahim Siddiqui (24), allegedly murdered the woman's husband, Vakil Ahmed Badshah Ahmed Iddisi (28). A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
