Hyderabad: Raja Ravindra, a Sub-Inspector at Gachibowli Police Station in Hyderabad walked away from the "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarulu" reality show in style after receiving a cheque of whopping Rs 1 Crore -- the highest reward in the game show-- from actor and host Jr NTR. Ravindra, who hails from Badradri Kothagudem, had participated in the television game show “Evaru Meelo Koteshwarulu”, a Telugu game show on the lines of "Kaun Banega Crorepati".
NTR said he is the first host in the history of the game show to have presented the prize money of one crore.
From taking the hot seat in the game show and answering questions posed by Jr NTR, several contestants have won prize money in lakhs, but Ravindra became the first contestant to walk away with Rs 1 crore, the channel said in a press release.
Raja Ravindra said he will spend the prize money on air rifle competitions. He is trained in Air Rifle shooting. He wishes to spend the money on his training to participate in competitions. He said he also spend money on charities dedicated to helping children.
Working with the police department, Ravindra said that he is interested in air rifle shooting as he is an avid follower of sports, he said in the show. He further said that his dream is to represent India at the Olympics as a shooter and he would invest the amount he won in fulfilling his dream.
