Telangana IT Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao said on Thursday that summons issued to K Kavitha by ED were "Modi summons". KT Rama Rao said 11 BRS leaders were targeted by ED, IT and CBI in the past few months to intimidate opposition parties' leaders.

The remarks by KTR comes after Kavitha, BRS leader and daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, received a notice on Wednesday to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi liquor policy case.

"Why does PM not speak of allegations against him, on Adani? We're saying Gautam Adani is a proxy of Narendra Modi. Will he take a lie detector test? Does he have guts to come in front of the country? Is everyone in BJP a brother of Raja Harishchandra?" said KT Rama Rao as quoted by ANI.

"Are all BJP people clean? Harassment, political vendetta & intimidation might work elsewhere for Narendra Modi. He is playing with fire & I'm sure he'll realise it in days to come. The double engine he talks about - economic engine is Adani, political engine is Modi," he further said.

He said the Modi government has been adopting either "jhumla or hamla" tactics for the past eight years and pulled down eight elected governments.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, K Kavitha wrote to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to say that she would appear before the ED on March 11 in the case.
