Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy has made it clear that Congress will contest alone in Telangana. Speaking at the press conference on Monday, he denied the reports that suggested Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) alliance in the state.

Revanth said the Congress party would defeat the ruling TRS in the upcoming Assembly elections in April 2023, forming the government in Telangana with 90 Assembly seats.

He questioned why Congress would ally with the TRS and KCR, which had been cheating Congress since 2004. The Delhi High Command also expressed the same view, said Revanth.

He said that Rahul Gandhi believes KCR is more dangerous and not a trustworthy person. He clarified that there was no alliance with TRS.

He expressed his unhappiness with speculative rumours about Prashant Kishor's meeting with K Chandrasekhar Rao and the alleged arrangement the TRS made with the I-PAC, a political consulting business with whom the election strategist had previously been connected.

He claimed that both the TRS and the BJP are our enemies in the state. BJP State President Bandi Sanjay is leading a padayatra in the erstwhile undivided Mahabubnagar district to split the anti-establishment vote in south Telangana, said Revanth.
