Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Thursday celebrated its 22nd formation day, with party president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hoisting the BRS flag at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. Accompanied by BRS general secretary K Keshava Rao and other senior leaders, he paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli.
The meeting was attended by 300 BRS leaders, including ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR affirmed that BRS would be elected to power for the third consecutive term with more than 100 seats in the next Assembly elections in the state.
The Chief Minister said, "We won 63 seats in the first Assembly elections and 88 seats in the second Assembly election. This time, we will win more than 100 seats in the next elections".
CM KCR stated that retaining power was not a big challenge and priority would be winning more seats.
The Chief Minister recalled the sacrifices and difficulties faced in achieving a separate Telangana state and claimed that statehood was attained in political terms with minimal loss.
"The achievement of separate Telangana has shown the nation that anything can be achieved in parliamentary terms. Continuing the spirit, we are marching ahead with the Ab Ki Baar Kisan Sarkar slogan to put the nation on the path of development and progress," Chandrashekhar Rao said.

In a short period of time, Telangana has made tremendous advancements in a variety of industries, including agriculture, livestock, roadways, infrastructure, and paddy procurement, he said.
"Telangana ranks first in per capita income and is way ahead of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Before 2021–22, the GST revenue was Rs 34,000 crore, and it was now expected to increase to Rs. 44,000 crore," CM KCR said.
"The Maharashtra government lacks vision and commitment in ensuring welfare and development," he said.
Earlier, CM KCR announced that the BRS would constitute party committees and contest in zilla parishad elections in Maharashtra.
KCR also said that BRS committees would be formed in every village of Maharashtra from May 7 to June 7, and a huge Kisan rally would be organised there with 10 to 12 lakh people.
