Telangana Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) corporator Dedeepya Rao was attacked by unidentified women allegedly over a controversy surrounding flex boards in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday. Following this, the corporator and her husband lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police. 


According to ANI, unidentified women attacked Jubilee Hills BRS corporator, Dedeepya Rao, last night. Police registered a case against the attackers.

"This incident happened last night. We have registered a case against the women who had attacked the corporator," said R Madhusudhan, Detective Inspector Jubilee Hills.

The then TRS party (now BRS) candidate Dedeepya Rao contested and won from Vengal Rao Nagar Division.














A widely circulated video purportedly showed the assault. The footage captured several unidentified women physically confronting the BRS corporator, who is seated in the front of her car. Amid the altercation, the driver was seen trying to intervene and shield the corporator from harm.


























Last month, BRS legislator G Lasya Nanditha (37) lost her life in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Patancheru, located in Telangana's Sangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The incident occurred during the early hours of March 23, according to police reports. The mishap took place when the car she was travelling collided with a traffic barrier on the ORR. The MLA's driver was also hurt in the collision. BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao condoled her demise.
