Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the BJP and the TRS, referring to them as two sides of the same coin. The Congress MP addressing a public meeting in the Narayanpet district of Telangana as part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, alleged that both parties are anti-democratic, buy MLAs and topple governments.

"I want to clarify that BJP and TRS are the same for us. They are two sides of the same coin. You must realise that both parties collaborate. They support one another. In Telangana, BJP backs TRS, and TRS supports BJP in Delhi." he said.

"Both are anti-democratic parties. They practice politics of money, buy MLAs and topple governments," he added.

Rahul Gandhi recalled that the TRS offered its complete support to all the bills that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to enact in the Parliament. "The three black laws on agriculture have the full support of the TRS. We introduced a resolution opposing the three farm legislation in the Assembly, but TRS did not support it, "he said.

Gandhi further alleged that Telangana is witnessing the highest-ever corruption and unemployment. He also claimed that demonetisation and GST broke the country's backbone.

He will also visit prayer halls, mosques and temples across Telangana and offer prayers, members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee said.

Gandhi completed the marathon walk in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka before beginning the Telangana leg of the yatra.
