The BRS MP from Telangana's Zaheerabad BB Patil joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar in Delhi on Friday.


As Zaheerabad MP BB Patil joins BJP after quitting BRS in Telangana, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, "On behalf of all my colleagues and workers in the BJP, I welcome BB Patil into our fold as a fellow worker, as a fellow leader and wish him the very best."

On Thursday, Nagarkurnool BRS MP Pothuganti Ramulu, along with his son Bharat and three other BRS leaders, formally joined the BJP. The induction took place at the BJP office in New Delhi, where they were welcomed by Tarun Chugh, the party's in-charge of Telangana affairs, and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.


The successive exit of BRS leaders came just weeks before Lok Sabha polls. The announcement of election dates is also anticipated in less than two weeks. The BJP is expected to announce its initial list of candidates for the elections shortly.


Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Congress MLA Vijayadharani joined BJP in Delhi. Having served as a legislator for three consecutive terms, she represented the Vilavancode Assembly constituency on Saturday. Notably, Vijayadharani is the great-granddaughter of the esteemed social reformer Kavimani Desigavinayagam Pillai. Her joining the saffron party was witnessed by Union Minister of State L. Murugan.














For a decade, Vijayadharani held the position of Chief Whip for the Congress in the Assembly and served as a Member of the Privilege Committee.
