Amid high drama during the march towards KCR's residence, YSR Telangana Party founder Y S Sharmila in Panjagutta was arrested and later granted conditional bail by the 14th ACMM Court, reported news agency ANI. Telangana Police arrested Y S Sharmila and produced her in court on Tuesday.

Sharmila along with YSRTP activists attempted to lay siege to Pragati Bhavan on Tuesday to protest against the attack on her car and campaign vehicle during the padayatra on Monday.

Earlier, YS Sharmila's mother YS Vijayamma put under house arrest by Telangana Police. YS Vijayamma was to start for SR Nagar Police Station, where her daughter was detained earlier on Tuesday.

A case has been registered against YSRTP chief YS Sharmila at Punjagutta Police Station. Police registered a case against Sharmila under IPC 353, 333,327 sections.

Earlier in the day, Hyderabad cops tow the car in which YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) President YS Sharmila was sitting. Sharmila, who is Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan's sister, has been protesting outside the camp office in Begumpet in Hyderabad against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

YSRTP leader Sharmila and 50 other party workers have staged a protest in response to the attack done by TRS workers on her caravan during her padyatra in Warangal district on Monday. The Hyderabad cops Tuesday detained all the leaders who were protesting against the ruling TRS at the camp office.

In a tweet, YS Sharmila wrote, "I am not threatened with the cowardly acts done by KCR. Be Careful, If you think you can destroy democracy, use police as your pawns, instigate TRS goons and provoke them to commit crimes."

"Wherever you hide, it might be in Pragati Bhavan or in your Farm House, your downfall is certain, she added.

The issue started when police stopped Sharmila's padyatra and arrested her and YSRTP leaders and workers accompanying her in Chennaraopeta Mandal on Monday. YSRTP cadres tried to resist the arrests and raised slogans against the police and the TRS government. The police used mild force to control the situation.
