Life has become a tad bit more convenient since the arrival of food delivery companies like Zomato and Swiggy. However, ordering food can end up being a hectic job, especially if you are placing an order for a bunch of people. You might've encountered a situation in life when you had friends over and had to order food for everyone or you were ordering from your workplace and had to place order for your colleagues too. Now, at least for five to ten minutes, you must've kept asking everyone what they would have, and they would be debating the same.

It seems like Zomato has secretly listened to our struggles and has come up with a solution. Zomato has now introduced a new option that allows group orders.

Zomato New Feature: Group Ordering Feature

Zomato’s founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, recently announced that the app is rolling out the 'Group Ordering feature'. He posted, “You can now share a link with your friends, and everyone can add to the cart seamlessly, making ordering together faster and easier.”

This new feature streamlines the process of adding orders, eliminating the need to pass a phone around. The CEO noted that the service is being introduced gradually. "We're rolling it out to all customers step by step. If the feature is available to you, give it a try at your house party tonight and share your experience," Goyal added.

Apps like Zomato have revolutionised how Indians access their favorite foods on the go, allowing users to order from a wide range of restaurants and cuisines with just a few taps on their smartphones. One of the biggest benefits is that these apps remove the need to travel and wait for extended periods.

Last month, Zomato launched a feature that lets users delete their order history. Goyal introduced the Order Delete feature on his X handle, following a humorous exchange with a user named Karan, who joked that his wife had discovered his late-night snack orders.
