WhatsApp is in the process of developing a new feature that allows users to save messages to notes, as reported by WABetaInfo. This upcoming addition to the Meta-owned messaging app is expected to debut in a future update and will enable users to conveniently add specific messages to their notes. According to the report, this functionality will be accessible within the message options, providing users with a seamless way to attach selected messages to their notes.
This streamlined approach to note-taking eliminates the need for manual note creation within chat info screens, offering users a more organised method to manage their conversations.
It's worth noting that this feature appears to be primarily geared towards business users, indicating that it may not be immediately accessible to regular users upon its release. Nonetheless, the inclusion of this feature underscores WhatsApp's ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and productivity within its platform.
The WABetaInfo report read, “The shortcut to add specific messages to notes adds a layer of convenience to the user experience, as it will allow businesses to easily capture and reference pertinent details shared within conversations without opening the chat info screen. By simply selecting the desired message and opting to attach it to a note, businesses will be able to save important details without the need to manually input information.”
WhatsApp Rolls Out Update To Show Recently Active Users
WhatsApp is also working on a new feature to allow users to check contacts who were recently online through the contacts page. This latest functionality was spotted in beta testing first and it aims to inform users about which contact of theirs is active at the moment or was active recently.
The newest update is anticipated to provide users with a faster way to connect with friends, family, or colleagues who are currently available for a quick conversation. This fresh addition, called the Recent Online Contacts tab, was initially discovered by WABetaInfo only.
