WhatsApp May Extend Delete for Everyone Time Limit To Over 2 Days Soon

Meta-owned WhatsApp is working to introduce a feature that would extend the "delete for everyone" time limit to more than two days from the current time limit.

New Delhi: Meta-owned WhatsApp is working to introduce a feature that would extend the "delete for everyone" time limit to more than two days from the current time limit of a little more than one hour, according to WABetaInfo, a beta tracker of WhatsApp. WABetaInfo mentioned that WhatsApp beta version 2.22.410 for Android can extend the time limit for the "delete for everyone" feature to two days and 12 hours.

The much-useful feature that could help users delete wrongly send messages with an extended time limit is currently under development and named "New Time Limit – Delete Messages for Everyone". "Some time ago, we published news about a new time limit under development on WhatsApp Desktop beta. In fact, WhatsApp was planning to use a new time limit to delete messages for everyone: from “1 hour, 8 minutes, 16 seconds” to “7 days and 8 minutes”!" WABetaInfo wrote on its page.

"Note that, since this new limit is under development, so the feature is not available yet, the dev team may change the limit again and again. We’re going to inform you about any other change for the time limit to delete messages for everyone, and there will be a new changelog when this is released in a new update," WABetaInfo added.

Earlier in November, the WhatsApp beta tracker had mentioned that the Meta-owned messaging platform was working to introduce a feature that would let extend the message-deleting time to a week from the current time limit of a little more than an hour. However, now it looks like the world's most popular messaging platform has abandoned the idea.
