The new Twitter CEO, Elon Musk does not like the concept of "work from home". His other company Tesla was among the first ones to ask its employees to start working from the office after the pandemic. And not so surprisingly, he is trying to replicate the same model of working at Twitter as well. Ever since Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion, he has been pressing for work from the office, rather than work from home. Among the first few changes he introduced after taking over as the Twitter CEO was to call everyone to office.

He has clarified that working from home is a very rare and conditional option for Twitter employees. Recently, he even tweeted about eligibility for the work-from-home facility. Musk stated that the primary eligibility for working from home is "excellence".

He further said that employees will have to be exceptionally good and must earn the company's trust to be allowed to work from home. Musk said, "Remote is fine, but the bar for excellence & trust is higher to overcome communication difficulties."

Not just that, he had earlier said, "Anyone who can be in office, should be. However, if not logistically possible or they have essential personal matters, then staying home is fine."

He even stated that "working remotely is also ok if their manager vouches for excellence".
