The move to bring Spaces to Android will ensure that more Twitter users are able to access it especially in India where Android dominates the market and userbase.

"Android folks, our beta is growing! starting today you will be able to join and talk in any Space. SOON you'll be able to create your own but we're still working out some things. keep your Eyes out for live Spaces above your home tl," a tweet on Twitter's Spaces page informed.

Twitter has about 1.75 crore users in India.

Recently, an invite-only platform called 'Clubhouse' that is currently available for iOS users only was being talked about for its feature that allows users to contact each other in voice chats rather than text messages. Twitter now seems to be taking on it even before it becomes the next big thing in markets like that of India.
