New Delhi: Seems like Twitter has joined the bandwagon of companies copying TikTok's reaction videos, and that's why the micro-blogging site has announced that it was testing a similar feature for iOS devices called “quote tweet with reaction”.

There is no word on when the feature would be tested for Android users too. This feature would let users post customised reaction videos for tweets with a “quote tweet with reaction” option while retweeting. The new feature, however, is quite similar to ByteDance-owned TikTok’s video replies feature. It is also like Meta-owned Instagram’s newly-announced feature that lets users to reply to comments on their posts with Instagram Reels.

"Tweet reaction videos can now start on Twitter! Testing on iOS: when you tap the Retweet icon, choose “Quote Tweet with reaction” to create and customize your very own Tweet Take –– a reaction video (or photo) with the Tweet embedded," Twitter Support posted from its official account on Friday.

Meanwhile, earlier in November, reports said that Twitter will stop automatically refreshing timelines for the web client. The micro-blogging site has announced an update to the disappearing Tweet experience which is now rolling out for all.

"An update to the disappearing Tweet experience is rolling out for web! Now you can choose when you want new Tweets to load into your timeline –– click the Tweet counter bar at the top," Twitter Support recently tweeted.

The company had earlier acknowledged that it was a frustrating experience and that it was working towards changing it.
