Optiemus, Corning Form JV For Making Smartphone Glass In India


Noida-based Optiemus and smartphone glass-making giant Corning have joined hands for a joint venture (JV) to set up the country's first local manufacturing facility for producing high-quality cover glass parts for the mobile and consumer electronics industry. The joint venture between Optiemus Infracom and Corning is aimed at helping to expand India's local electronics manufacturing ecosystem, as the government strengthens its "Make in India" initiative.

OnePlus Open May Survive 400,000 Folds


OnePlus Open, the maiden foldable from OnePlus, which is expected to be launched soon, is said to have performed better than the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. According to a leakster, the OnePlus Fold withstood 400,000 folds in lab conditions. According to tipster Max Jambor, the OnePlus Fold has been through rigorous testing. The first foldable from OnePlus may be durable enough to withstand 100 folds a day for up to 10 years. The new Oppo Find N3 Flip is also rated for 400,000 folds. The new Galaxy Z Fold 5, on the other hand, promises of 2,00,000 folds.

Redmi 12 Series Sells Over 1 Million Units In Less Than A Month


Xiaomi India on Friday announced that in less than a month, the Redmi 12 series has sold more than 1 million units. The budget Redmi 12 series which has a 4G and a 5G model has surpassed 1 million units, in sales. The company made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter.


Musk Says X Won't Use Private Data To Train AI Models


Amid a report of X, formerly Twitter, preparing to collect user data, including biometric information and education history, tech billionaire and X's owner Elon Musk has clarified that the company is not going to do so, to train its machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) models, the media has reported. A user had posted on X mentioning the updated privacy policy which has added using data to train AI models, Musk said this is not correct, says a report by news agency IANS.
