Apple's 'Scary Fast' Event May See Launch Of New iMacs, MacBooks
Apple has said it will host a launch event next Monday, October 30 with a tagline "Scary fast" where it is likely to launch launch new iMacs and MacBooks. There is no official word on the lineup by the company yet. The event is slated to begin at 5 pm PT, which is 5:30 am IST on October 31. The event will be available for live streaming via Apple.com and YouTube.
Spotify Registers Quarterly Profit
Spotify on Tuesday announced its third quarter (Q3) results and witnessed an increase of 16 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in paid subscribers base. The Swedish music streaming giant's paid users has hit 226 million in Q3. Spotify's Monthly Active Users (MAUs) were up 26 per cent to hit 574 million. The compay returned to profitability and reported operating income of 32 million euros for the quarter. This is its first quarterly profit since 2021.
Meta Testing New Feature For Instagram
Meta-owned Instagram's head Adam Mosseri has said that the company is testing a new feed wherein users will see content from paid subscribers, or Meta Verified, which is similar to X-like feed. The feature would let Instagram users filter their feeds to only show posts from Meta Verified accounts.

Handset maker OnePlus is likely to launch the successor to OnePlus 11 later this year. Weeks after CAD renders of the purported OnePlus 12 were leaked, a new leak, courtesy of famed tipster OnLeaks have surfaced that suggest the OnePlus 12 may feature a triple camera setup and flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which may be announced soon.
Amazon Lets Sign In Via Passwordless Passkeys
After WhatsApp, retail and e-commerce giant Amazon is making passwords a passé and enabling the ability to log in on its website and iOS app with passwordless passkeys. Logging in via passkeys are easier and safer, as per most tech giants and they have set a goal to make passkeys the new login standard. Amazon Android app will get the ability to sign in through passkeys soon. Passkey support is available for all Amazon customers using browsers and is gradually rolling out on the iOS Amazon Shopping app with support coming soon on the Android Amazon Shopping app, the company has announced.
