South Korean tech giant Samsung has inaugurated its first Premium Experience Store in the state of Tamil Nadu. The store has come up in Phoenix Mall, in Chennai. Designed to offer an integrated premium experience of sales and customer service, the store aims to be a one-stop solution for all consumer needs. Spread over 2700 square feet, the store highlights Samsung’s cutting-edge product ecosystem featuring immersive zones dedicated to SmartThings, smartphones, laptops, audio, gaming, and lifestyle televisions.
Netflix Bringing 'GTA: The Trilogy' On Mobile App
Streaming giant Netflix has announced the arrival of Rockstar Games' 'Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition' on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and its mobile app for Netflix subscribers on December 14. Released in 2021, GTA: The Trilogy is a compilation of three games from the popular Grand Theft Auto series. According to a blog post from Netflix, fans can now pre-register to play 'Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition,' featuring the updated mobile versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Worldwide Smartphone Shipments May Fall Lowest In A Decade This Year
Global smartphone shipments are estimated to fall 5 per cent YoY to reach 1.2 billion this year, the lowest level in around a decade, a new report by Counterpoint Research said on Thursday. According to Counterpoint Research's "Smartphone 360 Global Smartphone Shipment Forecast", the smartphone shipments are likely to increase by 3 per cent YoY in the fourth quarter (Q4) of the year, to reach 312 million units.

5G Subscriptions In India May Hit 130 Million This Year
It has been over a year that commercial 5G network was rolled out in India and the country is seeing substantial 5G network deployment. Fifth-generation (5G) subscriptions are expected to reach 130 million this year and they estimated to grow to 860 million by 2029. However, 4G continues to be the dominant subscription type which is driving connectivity and fueling data growth in the region, said a report by Ericsson on Thursday.
Homegrown Dixon To Make Xiaomi Smartphones At Noida Factory
Homegrown Dixon Technologies, electronic manufacturing services company, will produce Xiaomi smartphones at its Noida factory, which was inaugurated by Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Thursday. Padget Electronics, a subsidiary of Dixon Technologies, has announced that the production of Xiaomi handsets will be done at its recently established Noida factory, backed by an investment worth Rs 256 crore, the media has reported.
