A new report revealed that ongoing technological advancements have not only rendered remote collaboration more feasible but also ensured its enduring presence. Collaboration tools play a crucial role in maintaining a harmonious blend of digital and physical work environments, fostering internal teamwork among employees and external interactions with clients. As of 2023, the report by GlobalData, a data and analytics company, said that companies continue to advertise hybrid work-related positions. Notably, sectors like construction, insurance, banking and payments, technology and communications, and pharmaceuticals have witnessed a substantial increase in hybrid job roles during the third quarter (Q3) of 2023.


70 Per Cent APAC Warehouses To Embrace Workflow Automation By 2024: Zebra Technologies


American mobile computing company Zebra Technologies Corporation released the findings of its 2023 Global Warehousing study that highlights the importance of enhancing employee value and retention, with 70 per cent of Indian and Asia Pacific (APAC) warehouse decision-makers planning to automate workflows by 2024 for more customer-centric tasks. The study further confirmed that 58 per cent of warehouse decision-makers plan to deploy radio frequency identification (RFID) technology by 2028 which will help increase inventory visibility and reduce out-of-stocks. Over the next five years, a majority of warehouse decision-makers plan to deploy fixed, passive or handheld RFID readers and fixed industrial scanning solutions that can better track assets, workers and goods throughout the warehouse environment. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the invention of RFID, which has become a problem-solving tool for front-line workers in warehouses and other industries.

Google has introduced a new update for its AI chatbot, Bard, enabling users to inquire about YouTube videos and receive relevant answers regarding the video content. The tech giant said on Bard's update page that this marks the initial phase of Bard's capacity to comprehend YouTube videos. For instance, users can now ask questions like the number of eggs required in the recipe of the first video when searching for videos on making olive oil cake.


iPhone Shipments Set To Double, Sales Of Other Apple Products Will Fall In India


Apple is set to witness lower shipments of its devices such as Apple Watches, iPads, Macs and AirPods, says a report by ET Telecom, citing industry analysts. This comes amid an estimated growth in iPhone shipments. Mac shipments are expected to decline in the range of 15 per cent to 18 per cent in calendar year 2023, as per the analysts. iPad shipments are estimated to fall 6 per cent to 8 per cent, sais analysts at Counterpoint Research.

Facebook Okayed Ads Calling For Violence Against Palestinian People


Meta-owned Facebook approved a set of advertisements that "dehumanised and advocated" violence against Palestinians, revealing a potential loophole in the platform's content moderation standards, says a report by The Intercept. Ads on the social networking giant were submitted in Hebrew and Arabic that blatantly violated Facebook and Meta's policies, featuring explicit calls for violence, such as advocating a "holocaust for the Palestinians" and endorsing the elimination of "Gazan women and children and the elderly", the report added.
