iPhone 15 May Get New Pink Colour


The iPhone 15 series that is expected to launch this fall is likely to get a new pink colour model. According to reliable Apple tipster ShrimpApplePro, a leak from Chinese social media site Weibo has surfaced that reveals new colour options for the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 lineup. The three new colours that the iPhone 15 lineup is likely to get include, green, light yellow and pink. Earlier, a leak suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro is likely to be unveiled in a new crimson colour which could be lighter than the existing purple colour of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Google's Connected Flight Feature Coming


In a bid to take Airplane Mode to another level, Google is working to introduce what is being called "Connected Flight" mode for Android. Connected Flight mode by Google would work on smartphones, tablets as well as laptops. The Connected Flight feature would be able to detect when a user is on a plane. Once the feature is triggered, it would automatically turn on Airplane mode for the device and turn it back to normal mode when it detects that the aircraft has landed on the ground. Google has applied for a new patent that has surfaced online, which has revealed details about the Connected Flight mode.

WhatsApp Bringing Official Chat Feature


WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging platform is working to introduce a new "Official Chat" feature for tips and tricks alongside important security settings, in a bid to help users protect their accounts. The Meta-owned messaging platform is rolling out an official chat wherein users would get tricks and tips, via a Google Play Beta programme. According to WhatsApp updates attacker WabetaInfo, with this official chat, WhatsApp aims to keep users informed about the latest updates implemented in the app, as well as provide them with information regarding the latest security settings they should adopt to protect their accounts.

Threads Sees Decline In Engagement, Growth


User engagement on Threads, the new social media platform by Meta, has shown some decline in growth and engagement after reporting a record 100 million sign-ups in just five days. As reported by CNBC, data from Sensor Tower and Similarweb indicates a decrease in daily active users and time spent on the platform. Despite a strong launch, it appears that Threads may face challenges in becoming a regular part of users' social network routines.

Meta Fined By Norway's Regulator


Social networking giant and Facebook parent Meta would be fined by Norway's data protection authority over privacy breaches, the media has reported. Meta would be fined one million crowns or $100,000 per day, reported news agency Reuters on Monday. Starting from the August 4, Meta would be penalised every day until November 3, unless the compnay takes action, the report added. According to regulator Datatilsynet, Norway's regulator, the company cannot harvest user data in Norway, such as users’ physical locations, and use it to target advertising at them, called behavioural advertising, a business model common to Big Tech.
