Nikon Z6III Price Announced. Check Out How Much World’s First Camera With Partially Stacked CMOS Costs

Nikon Z6III, which claims to be the world’s first camera with a partially stacked CMOS, has now got a price tag. Aimed at professionals with a mid-segment budget, the hybrid camera from the Japanese photography giant is mainly targeted at both photographers and videographers working in verticals such as weddings, wildlife photography, documentary films, and so on. Nikon Z6III brings in several features from series icons such as the Z8 and the Z9, along with a CMOS that makes handy tasks like image processing, autofocus, and continuous shooting speeds a whole lot faster. 

Nikon Z6III Price In India, Availability

The body of Nikon Z6III is priced at Rs 2,47,990. As part of introductory offers, the company is giving Angelbird AV Pro CFexpress B SE 512 GB or SX 160 GB cards for free, along with an additional battery and charger. 

Customers will have three kit options to choose from - 24-70mm f/4, 28-75mm f/2.8, and 24-120mm f/4. Of course, if you're already a Nikon user, you’ll find the new Z6III compatible with 43 Nikkor Z lenses, as well as a wide range of F-mount legacy lenses (with adapter).

Nikon Z6III will be available for purchase on all online and offline channels starting June 25.

Nikon Z6III Specifications, Features

As mentioned earlier, Nikon Z6III comes with a partially stacked CMOS sensor, which makes it 3.5 times faster than the Z6II. It also adds features such as 20 per cent faster acquisition in autofocus, higher video frame rates (6K/60p RAW, FHD/240p), faster continuous shooting speeds (20fps RAW, 60fps JPEG FX, 120fps JPEG DX), and a smoother EVF experience.

Speaking of EVF, or electronic view finder, Nikon claims that the Z6III has the world’s brightest of its kind, which can help the photographer figure out the subject’s details and expressions even in bright sunlight. 

Nikon Z6III offers in-camera colour grading, which could come in handy for on-the-go professionals, with N-RAW & ProRes Raw HQ (12-bit) and N-log & HLG Shooting (10-bit) on offer. 

The Z6III offers a lot of sweet treats for videographers, including the likes of recording at 240fps at Full-HD and H.265, which can help slow-motion captures in high resolution a breeze. The camera also 6K video recording at 60fps in internal RAW format, to help capture nearly everything the photographer can see without the dilution of unwanted processing. The Z6III can also record 5.4K videos in 60fps DCI as well as 4K videos in 120fps DCI. 

Another handy feature for wildlife photographers or sports/action photographers, the Z6III brings pre-release capture, which offers a buffer of up to 1 full second as well as 3 seconds after fully pressing the shutter. This helps in making sure that the right moments aren’t missed due to slower clicks. 

Lastly, since artificial intelligence is indeed the flavour of the season, the Z6III also brings in a handful of AI-driven features, such as skin softening and portrait impression balance, which would be perfect for wedding photographers. 

Nikon Z6III is compatible with the company’s new cloud service, Nikon Imaging Cloud, with support for transfers to third-party cloud storage services. However, the company has yet to announce when the service will roll out, but a launch is expected soon.
