A new Facebook feature is said to be live, according to social media, which can apparently lets Facebook users find out if their "ID is strong" and whether it is "hackable". However, the post doing the rounds on the social networking giant is fake, sources said on Monday. The viral Facebook post from March 7 by a user named Deepak Garg on Meta-owned Facebook read: "Go to the comment and write @ and then click on the *highlight* and press the send button. If the highlight text is blue, you know that your ID is strong and no one can hack IT easily."

ABP Live found that there is no way the social networking giant allows users to "find out if their ID is strong, or hackable". Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook has never rolled out any feature to assess the strength of a profile.

The Facebook post by Garg that claimed to highlight the new feature from the social media giant has recieved almost 3,000 comments, with many users believing the "hack" and commenting on Garg's post with "@highligh @followers".

However, several users commented on the post and wrote it was a "scam and not to fall for it".

It is to be noted that earlier, a similar post was circulated widely, with the mention of ‘@highlight’ in a comment, which would apparently reveal who regularly views one’s page.

Meanwhile, Facebook users whose account may have been hacked can head to https://www.facebook.com/hacked to address concerns.

A recent report said that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is mulling to establish its inaugural data centre in India.

This move aims to address the growing demand for its short video feature, Instagram Reels, in its largest market, said a report by Money Control, citing sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, the social networking behemoth is anticipated to commence a feasibility study in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024.

If Meta proceeds with setting up its inaugural data centre in the country, with a capacity ranging between 10-20MW, the investment in the project could fall within the range of Rs 500- Rs1,200 crore, the report further added.
