Microsoft Paint 3D To Be Discontinued, Will Be Removed From Microsoft Store By This Date

Remember the time when we used to open MS Paint on our age-old CRT monitors or the box computer monitors and then draw random things to our heart's satisfaction? As we grew up, Microsoft revamped the concept of MS Paint and launched another software known as Paint 3D in 2016. When users tried it they were reminded of the good old times. Now that beloved software of ours is soon going to bid us farewell. The new app was supposed to replace the old app but the tech giant announced that it would discontinue Paint 3D and remove it from the Microsoft Store.

It was designed to let users create and edit 3D models, and the decision to remove it has not come as a shock because, back in 2021, Microsoft removed Paint 3D from the list of pre-installed apps on Windows.

Can It Still Be Downloaded?

Although the app is no longer bundled with Windows, it remains available for free download from the Microsoft Store, regardless of whether you're using Windows 10 or Windows 11. Despite this availability, the app struggled to gain popularity, with many users preferring the classic Paint version, which continues to have millions of users worldwide.

In recent months, Microsoft has redirected its attention to the classic Paint app, introducing several updates and new AI-driven features that allow users to create images from scratch and remove backgrounds.

Additionally, the company has announced that Paint 3D will be removed from the Microsoft Store on November 4, with support for the app ending after that date.
