New Delhi: Aiming to make more audio features available on the platform, Instagram is working to introduce a feature that will let users reply to Stories with voice messages. According to reverse engineer and leakster Alessandro Paluzzi, the Meta-owned photo-sharing platform is bringing out a new feature that will enable a feature to reply to Instagram Stories with voice messages, much like Snapchat.
"#Instagram is working on the ability to reply to Stories with voice messages 👀," Paluzzi had tweeted.
The leakster and reverse engineer had posted a screenshot from Instagram Stories that showed a microphone icon in the field for story replies along with his tweet. It should be noted that currently there are plenty of unknowns and it is likely that developers sometimes prepare for upcoming features that may not get rolled out or get delayed.
Earlier in February, the Meta-owned photo-sharing platform started rolling out a new feature that it calls the “Private Story Likes” that lets users on the platform like Instagram Stories without sending them a DM. Instagram's Private Story Likes feature was announced as part of the Meta-owned company's efforts to improve the messaging experience.
The feature was announced by Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri. The update from Instagram essentially lets users on the platform engage with a Story by tapping the heart icon, similar to a regular feed post. "❤️ Private Story Likes ❤️ Starting to roll out today, you can now send some love by liking people’s stories without sending a DM. Likes on stories are private and do not have counts. Rather, they appear as hearts next to people’s handles in your Stories view sheet. 🙏🏼," Mosseri had earlier tweeted.
