Writer's block can be a real thing and it can be a serious pain if you have to write a work-related email but aren't able to draft a proper mail. A number of people might have faced such a situation in which they had some pointers in their mind based on which the mail had to be structured but they weren't able to put it all together in clear and concise terms. Google has released a new feature to help us with this situation. Drafting mail on Gmail has just become pretty easy with the incorporation of Gemini.
The new “help me write” and “polish” features powered by Gemini will now not just write but also edit, and change the tone of the email with just a single click. This Gemini-powered Gmail will now be able to polish, formalise, elaborate, or shorten a draft, or it can write a new draft altogether. The only thing is that it will be exclusive to paid customers only.

Google New 'Polish', 'Help Me Write' Features Availability, Details
These features are currently rolling out for Google Workspace customers with the Gemini Business and Enterprise add-on, Gemini Education and Education Premium add-on, or Google One AI Premium subscription.
To use the “polish” feature on Gmail, a user has to enter 12 or more words of content on the Gmail draft window on smartphones, while the “help me write” shortcut will be visible for eligible users on the email compose window. The polish feature will turn your rough notes into a proper mail. The new Gemini edit options can be accessed by swiping right. This capability is available on web, Android, and iOS devices.
In June 2024, Google introduced the ability to summarise emails on Gmail using Gemini, as a part of the Google Workspace Labs feature. Again, this feature is also only available for corporate customers and users with Google One AI Premium subscription.
